Jake Newton: Bio

I was born in Northern California, the State capital. Then taken around the States in a series of adventures we'll call "renting then running" by my Parents. I packed in a lot of Miles on shoes made of rubber with straps of velcro. We lived on a ranch in rural Oregon for example. I once brought a fantastic plastic sword from the state fair home, only to have it pecked apart by our pet chicken, Broom Helda. She paid for it later, i say regretfully. Eventually we settled in a small town outside Yosemite National Park, where I learned the wonder of the vacuum of time. It stands still like the eye of a hurricane up there. I like to think that I lived in a bubble most of my childhood, left alone with my imagination. A blond haired kid doing his best impression of wall paper. Music was an out. A different world full of witchita linemen and judy blue eyes with Rose colored glasses. Not a whole lot excites me as much, to this day. I was one of the lucky ones to have a musician/parent. My father taught me guitar as soon as my hands could decently hold one. Thankfully he never taught me how to throw a football well, because now I'd just be a drunk with an old letterman jacket and a fistful of memories. I left for Los Angeles with my head full of plans, and faced with the hard reality, did my best to forget about that back up plan everyone's always talking about. When you have one, you'll use it the moment things get rough, and things get rough quick in tinsel town. I've got my ear to the ground. I'm pushing the luck train up the hill. I could use all the help I can get. Listen to the tracks, I'm writing more as of now. More images pop and sqeal all the time. And I know the best part of my life is yet to come. Enjoy the songs. Tell your Friends. be warm and well.
